Your personal data is processed by Factorial Studio Private Limited (“Factorial Studio”, “we”, “us”) for the purpose of managing and reviewing your application and, where applicable, completing our recruitment process.

What we use your data for

We process your data in order to:

  • Review your application and assess your suitability for the role;
  • Communicate with you during the recruitment process;
  • Arrange interviews, tests, or other evaluation steps;
  • Complete any necessary pre-contractual checks (where applicable).

Your data is accessible only to:

  • Members of Factorial Studio involved in recruitment (e.g., HR, hiring managers, relevant leadership);
  • Authorized third-party service providers supporting our recruitment process (e.g., job platforms, ATS tools, assessment providers), where needed and under appropriate confidentiality and data protection safeguards.

Retention

  • If you are hired, your application data may be added to your employee file and kept in accordance with our internal HR and legal retention rules.
  • If your application is not successful, your data may be retained for up to 2 years from the date of last contact, unless:
    • Applicable law requires a different period, or
    • You request earlier deletion (where legally possible).

Legal basis

Depending on your location and the role, we process your data on the basis of:

  • Performance of pre-contractual measures, at your request (reviewing and processing your application before entering into an employment contract); and
  • Our legitimate interests, in order to manage recruitment, build our teams, and protect our rights.

Where required by law, some processing may also be based on compliance with legal obligations (for example, record-keeping or reporting duties).

Your rights

In accordance with applicable data protection regulations, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data;
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention requirements;
  • Restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances;
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, where applicable;
  • In some jurisdictions (e.g., EEA / UK), request data portability.

We will respond to such requests in line with applicable laws.
